I live in Yogya but I am not listed as Yogyakarta citizen. Is there any possibility for me to join this program?
We believe that Yogyakarta has attracted many people to study and work in Yogyakarta. Thus, we accept anyone of you who wants to join this program although you are not listed as Yogyakarta citizen. We kindly ask you to register yourself having KIPEM (Kartu Identitas Penduduk Musiman) or SKTS (Surat Keterangan Tinggal Sementara) so that you can join the selection.
What about the funding of this program?
Basically, the government of Republic of Indonesia and its country partners will support all the funding, including the airfare ticket, accommodation fee, program expenses, and visa will be funded by the government. Passport fee, souvenirs, and personal expenses will not be funded by the government.
What about the duration of each program?
Each program has different schedule. SSEAYP will usually set sail from October to December. ICYEP will be conducted from September until March. AIYEP will be held from October to January. IMYEP usually will take times in the mid of June, while IKYEP usually lasts two weeks in November.
Which program is suitable with me?
Each program has its own characteristics. SSEAYP is basically about leadership, ICYEP about community development, and AIYEP is about professionalism. On the other side, IKYEP are about art and culture and IMYEP are mostly about entrepreneurship. To be added, the entire program needs participants who may share and represent the culture of Indonesia in general.
Is it only for students?
No. This is a Youth Exchange Program. Anyone who has the age as required by the government, is able to join the program.
